When things like this happen to me, I thank the Lord He has provided me with shelter and my heart immediately goes out to the people who don't have such luxuries. I say a little prayer for them.

Mind, I'm not trying to be preachy and I'm definitely NOT saying anything about how others view things, it's just the way I am. I suppose the chicken and egg of it is Pollyanna is my all time favorite Disney movie.

Anyway, I'm very glad both you and your house are doing well. Stay warm. You too, Jerry, Sally, and everyone experiencing weather right now.

camping in cold weather? have a great time but I am not jealous at all, lol.

We camp 2500' lower. We ride up to the top. It is a 6 hour day of riding. Crazy thing is, it's only 15-20 miles of trail up there. There's some good climbs.

We sleep in a camping trailer. We used to tent camp, then we had a baby. We camp in all seasons so tent camping would have been miserable.

My 7 Red Star male chicks started to baby crow, so I bought a transport cage to process them at 2 to 3 lbs. I have an animal cage with a door on the side which makes it difficult to catch them. The transport cage has a sliding door on top making it easier to catch them. I choose this transport cage because it was 13 inches tall, the others I looked at were 11 inches tall.

I use dog crates and stand them up so the door is on top. Much easier to get a bird out without escaping.
