What did you do in the garden today?

I picked up 3 gold sex links and 3 cuckoo marans in march. The golden girls have reliably laid 3 eggs a day for me, not stopping for molt or winter hours. The marans? They went into full on molt, not quite a hard one, but durn close. They stopped laying and I hadn't seen an egg from them since. Until Today!!!! Right after I chastised her for not laying, Isis jumped in the nest and popped out an egg for me. I'm sure her sisters will follow suit soon and ill be rolling in eggs again, yay!
Our 72* Christmas was a miracle, probably never to be repeated again, but was so enjoyed! I even went outside and weeded, and enjoyed it. That too is a miracle, don't usually enjoy weeding....but to feel the sun on my face and warm dirt on my hands this time of year, heavenly! Best Xmas present ever, thank you mother nature. Lol
Hope you all had a great Christmas. With the new year almost upon us, I'll wish you the happiest of new years too. Lets hope its a really great one.

I have some indoor seeds I’ve been meaning to start. Not sure if I will get to them today but we’ll see.

I'm going to bring 11 chickens into the house and into play pens today. (The 12th chicken already lives in the house) There's a huge tree leaning over the coop that the guys are cutting down. If everything goes right, the chickens will be right back in their coop this afternoon. If that tree lands wrong, oooh boy, trying hard not to think of that. Wish us luck!

Planted some sprouted plum x cherry. First of that group to sprout. Also another apricot.

This group emerged last week.

Made broccoli salad. We prefer homemade as the store bought is coarse and tough. Lots of tough stalk. We use the stalks but everything goes into the food processor and pulsed a bit.
