What did you do in the garden today?

I need to get my small green house set up in the dining room. I'm wanting to get some seeds started before spring. I'm going to try selling some of the plants just to see if I can make a little extra money. Yesterday was my birthday and I spent it working and in town so today I thought I could take the day off but no, I'm in town again today. Grrr. I completely forgot about the trip to the casino last night. We came home with 148. dollars in our pocket, not as much as we lost but it's better than nothing.

I found it in one of my bags of cow manure. At first I thought it was glass again but on closer inspection it looks like ceramic. Lord help anyone who steps on a piece of it, and the poor cow that ate it.

I found a small green GI Joe in local mulch years ago.

I bought some pawpaw seed last fall. They need stratification and can never let dry out. Kills the seed. Must be moist from the time it is removed from the fruit. Anyway one sprouted a root. Instructions says it takes about 2 months to send up a shoot. No wonder I failed before.

I planted some cat grass seeds today. Couldn’t find a good planter so I just repurposed a couple take-out containers.

I‘m planning on planting kale, tomatoes, already planted some garlic, will see, how it grows, some poppies already seeded themselves in fall, will see how they do in spring.. my garden is too small, got so many plants I would love to try out.. got edible marigolds, blue tobacco seeds, salads whatever, problem is, we have dry sandy soil, I have to irritate a lot in summer, so, the more I plant, the longer I have to water the plants, every day
