Has anyone seen a pumpkin cradle made from wood to support the fruit and keep them off the ground? I did but cannot remember where. I'm going to get my son in law to help me make some from the extra wood left over from the fence. I will definitely be posting pictures of them.

I put bricks under mine. Yours sounds way neater.

I'm now thinking that I should also include the measurements of the cradles for the pumpkins and that way if anyone else wants to make one they will have them to use.

Still cold here, with 4 inches of ice on the looong steep driveway. I won't be going anywhere for a long time. Oh well, that's why I grow and put up food. I can sit here for months and not need anything. Moved the chickens into the house, a spare bathroom. 3 chickens to a 48" round pet playpen, 4 play pens total. Window cracked open a bit so its staying around 38-40* in there. So much nicer than running fresh water out to them multiple times a day in negative temps, up and down that hill, in snow and ice. I'm getting too old for that! Going to be 35 today, but tomorrow night going back to 6. Think I should bring them out to get some exercise, but the idea of rounding them up again and carting them back up the hill seems daunting. Suppose it won't hurt them to sit out a couple more days.

Three of the five RIR pullet eggs I started incubating a week ago were evidently not fertile and were clear. The other two are developing nicely. One even showed a bit of movement inside.

They could be full RIR or half RIR, half New Hampshire.

So he can't sell his pickles? I guess I just dont get why we need government time and energy focused on someone selling pickles. He isn't forcing anyone to buy them and they obviously would know he made them. .. or did I not understand this video correctly?
