What did you do in the garden today?

Was 58 now its 38, still recovering from a touch of heart attack, from what I was told it was heart attack "Adjacent". Personally I would give it as an experience a 1 out of 10, would not recommend. Currently out of work right now, still thinking if I am good enough to start some seed, sitting and putting seed into a seed starting tray should not be too taxing.

All of my broccoli and cauliflower seeds sprouted. Nothing else yet...

My peach trees are very close to breaking dormancy. Plums are actually flowering... And it's supposed to drop intt the 20s this weekend. 🙄

I pruned back my roses and started clearing out the canna lily beds. I've WAY over-planted those beds so I'm going to have to dig up some of those bulbs to thin them out some.

Asparagus is starting to come up too... 😊

Looks like I've lost quite a bit of stuff too. My pink lemonade blueberries look dead. And all my red raspberry and double gold raspberries are also dead. Waiting to see if anything comes up from the crowns but I don't have high hopes.

It's going to be rather chilly this weekend with highs in the lower 50s but I'm still going to try to get the garden cleaned up and ready.

Oh my goodness! Take care of yourself. Don't overdo it.

Prayers for swift healing.
Seed starting should be ok.

Yikes! Hope you recover quickly. Planting seeds sounds like a perfect recovery plan

no trace of most raspberries:( if they don't grow from the roots I'll give up. maybe we should grow only what grows like weeds, lol.

But wild raspberries (which are bitter gross) and wild blackberries (which are good but have wicked thorns from hell) all seem to grow gangbusters. Invasive even... But I can't seem to get domestic raspberries to grow more than 2-3 years before they go toes up.

I bought some black raspberries that were supposed to be resistant to some diseases the wilds carry. Supposed to plant 600 ft from wilds. Wilds are everywhere here. After 5 or 6 years they got a rust fungus that is probably from the wilds.
