What did you do in the garden today?

Made some seed snails today. Used some plastic feed sack strips and sill plate foam. I like the sill plate foam the best. I will plant in these about March 31. I transplant May 15 and later. Took the torch to some dead grass.View attachment 4309641

What a heck of idea I have a million bags like that.

Bought a Japanese maple with green filigree leaves. It's supposed to get about 4' tall and 4-6' across for the front of the house. It should look good against the dark red bricks and make the afternoon-shaded corner near the door pop.

We also picked up a banana tree for near the raised bed veg patch.

Both got put in the ground about an hour before the sirens went off. Hopefully they're protected from the wind and don't end up a few miles away.
