What did you do today?

Got up, read paper, talked to mom on phone, read more paper, couple loads of laundry, let chicks out to freerange, did some internetting, made lunch for sons, out for errands: bought window for coop, feed, and a new budget book, visited the new Tractor Supplly for the first time (pretty nice, but no organic feed), back home, cleaned coop, read a book, sudden storm came up and brought the chickens in (one SQUATTED for me for the first time! Today they are 20 weeks! Eggs can't be long now!), turned compost, found winter clothes for sons, ate dinner, made muffins for tomorrow's breakfast, helped sons with music practice. And here I am.

Well made the family breaskfast(sausage gravy and biscuits). Watched the movie Wild Hogs with my two daughters-husband went to work. Sweeped and mopped wooden floors in kitchen and dining room. Started ham and beans with corn bread for dinner. Oldest daughter went to work-youngest daughter began cracking black walnuts for my holiday baking and for selling as we have a huge tree. Now waiting for them to get home so we can eat dinner together. Hope everyone's day went well and enjoyable!

I spent the day finishing the run for my chickens - wired the sides top and made a gate. (poles were put in a week ago)

Needless to say they're STILL outside at 7pm! Its getting dark.....

Okay, let's see, Got up, went to church, Came home, practiced piano for a few hours,
then went to a big sausage dinner, then practiced piano for a few more hours.
We're just resting right now.
I'll be in chat in an hour or so.

Got up. Let dogs out. Fed horses and pregnant heifer. checked on chickens and gathered eggs. Let dogs in for their morning snack. Made fried egg sandwiches and fruit for breakfast. Did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. Frosted some sugar cookies for one of my classes. Checked my email for messages about eggs being shipped next week. Checked eggbid. Spent a little time on BYC forum. Took a shower. Spent some time with my dogs. Took my 5 week old Welsummer roo outside and put him in the dog pen for some free-ranging. Let the rest of the chickens out to free-range. Made dinner early so my youngest daughter could eat before going to work at the FFA haunted barn. Cleaned up the kitchen again. Fed the dogs and cats. Spent some time with the horses, then fed them and the heifer again. Came in and turned on the PBR. Now I'm back on BYC and I should be doing laundry for tomorrow!!

I got up, made coffee, went out, fed horses, let dogs out, let chickens out and spent a few minutes updating them on the tv shows they missed last night. Went in, fed the finches, cleaned their water dish and filled their bathtub. Watched them all take a bath. Drank coffee, read the paper, got on the board, took a nap, got up went on the board, fed dogs, fed horses, fed chickens their oatmeal suprise. Clarisse is actually letting me touch her a bit. I pick her up every day and pet her. I think she likes it, but won't admit it. Came in , ate dinner, watched tv, got on the board, etc.
This is the problem. I have 15-20 items on my "to do" list that has been sitting there for 2 weeks. And here I am just doing next to nothing. I feel guilty. Does anyone else have guilt over not getting things done on their "to do" list?

We slept in, got up, fed and watered the critters, went riding on the bike to do some visiting.

Got home collected eggs, moved the Silky coop to fresh grass and worked on their day-time only "expand-a-run" until we ran out of daylight.

Reheated left-over lasagna for dinner, relaxed, read the Sunday paper, just finished laundry and heading to bed now!

Good night all!

Dawn

Got up at 5:30 am. Made coffee, fed dogs, let chickens out only to learn my hen Lola is a not really a hen when "she " crowed at me. Got over the shock in a hurry, took a shower and left to drive up to Washington for a dog show...we showed the dog (didn't win)

. Came home with my bff Julie and her daughter, we made dinner for my family, sat outside and watched the chickens free range for an hour before we made them go back into their run. Watched a little t.v. checked the forum and now it's bed time. See you all tomorrow.
