What did you do today?

Woke up late and lazy. Did a short but fast bike ride with bf~ too much wind, but with a tail wind, we raced a small sprint. I hit 29 1/2 mph, but he hit 30. So he pulled the rest of the way home, lol. Cleaned up, ate lunch, laundry. Took bf to airport

, came back and cleaned out brooder with my baby quail. Cute! Then blocked the outside pen with my young chickens from said wind, and collected eggs. Trimmed fruit trees, cleaned up after dog. Bit of crafty time, and here! Thinking of ice cream next...

I went to the Lake. My nephew just moved in with us yesterday, so it was a fun taking him out and about. He has been living in Panama for the past 5 years. and I havn't seen him in that time. Now the kids are Falling asleep to Robin Hood (Nephew included

) and I'm catching up on Chicken info LOL

Oh my gosh we had sun today so we finally got to mow our grass! It's only been 3 weeks since time off and sun have coincided.

DH was planning a relaxing weekend since Monday starts a couple months of NO DAYS OFF. But instead he had to put a tranny in his Blazer (that was Friday & Saturday) and then today we mowed 4 acres of grass and went grocery shopping. Not exactly the weekend we had planned. The highlight was giving our chicks blueberries for the 1st time.

They were so funny chasing each other around to get the berry. Oh and also we let the ducks go swimming for about 5 minutes in the pool. Boy they don't like getting out!

Before Haicut

I need batteries for an after photo. He was cute before but that beard and whiskers collected allll his food since he's on soft food. The little guy eats too many meals a day and his face would stay matted.
