What did you do with your first egg?

Did you eat it up right away? I think I may blow mine and keep them! I would of course eat what comes out of it. I just cant make up my mind, Im so excited about it!

We waited a week-or-so to collect enough eggs for breakfast for both of us.

I'm about a month away from my first egg, but
I've promised my dog the first egg, since he has somehow learned to not eat the chickens. He came off the street and used to eat pigeons and squirrels, so it's no small miracle that he's taking care of the chicks!

I still remember the first egg.
I gazed at it for a couple of days, then ate it.
Plain boiled egg on toast.
Best egg I ever tasted!

We saved them so we could get the first from each girl, and then we were going to blow them and make Christmas ornaments with the girls' names on them...and then the Chocolate Lab ate them for lunch one day.

I'm bummed about that- they were so small compared to the large eggs we now get!
