What did you do with your flock today?

Got my yokos all boxed and ready to go, came in to call and say I'm on my way and found a text saying tomorrow please. So turned them back loose with some fresh picked greens from the garden as an apology.
Talk about stink eyes...o my!

I have one single yoko ordered along with my hamburgs coming in April. So I went online to see if I could add a couple more yokos to that order but it's too late... they're sold out for the season.

It really was so much fun to watch!! I’m sorry they lost! My bracket is not looking so great anymore but it was crazy to watch them scratch and claw thru that game and win! AZ looked like they already knew they’d win…they sort of lacked that fire you need to play a scrappy Cinderella seed! UCLA is NOT making that same mistake! They are beating up on poor little UNC Asheville!
Hubby's bracket got hit too! He's feeling a bit grumpy with the Cats tonight 😂

Sad that they’re sold out! 😩 Next year I guess!

Well, I made it to the farmers market with 5-18 pks of eggs and 2 bags- A bit late and by the seat of my pants.
I set up next to the nicest lady who I traded a pack of eggs for some homemade lilikoi butter yum!! Then I gave away one to a mom and baby who were pulling out of some hard times, then I gave another to my cute neighbor who was working hard selling kimchi. Then traded again for a big hand of bananas. I sold one bag and got another $5 donation for KCCP.
Came home and gave my neighbor who fixed a friends lawnmower my last 18pk, the hand of bananas and my last bag. I'm a lousy business person but had fun. Next time I go prepared.

Oh, I did have one tourist lady turn her nose up because one of my blue eggs was on the smaller side to her liking. She has three chickens at home and has a high standard obviously. A real fricken farmer, probably in a prefab :lauInsult my girls eggs is fighting words. Bye bye🌴 :frow ✈ tourist lady!

How on earth did you do that??? You were so lucky not to injure yourself worse!

I have a scar from when I fell off a horse (really wasn't expecting the 6ft drop the other side of a 3ft wall...) and impaled my face on a metal spike. Sounds more dramatic than it actually was.
So fortunate it did not take your eye out! Now you'll have to show us the scar.

Yay! That is a lot of eggs. Now that you've experienced it, you'll be more prepared next time. Making my mouth water with lilikoi butter. Bartering is great! And, you know, haoles can be high makamaka. Not all, though.
