@PopoMyers ... horribly sorry for your friend, I can not imagine the grief. Certainly puts everything into perspective doesn't it? Such a horrendous loss takes my breath away just thinking about it. Glad the rest is sorting itself out ♡

So awesome hanging with the gang today ♡ they are some terrific chickens.
I also sewed 4 bags, wound 16 bobbins, sold 5 dozen eggs, 2 loads of laundry (hang dry), raked leaves, cleaned bathroom, cleaned floors (even with cats in the house lol) but did not check the mail.
Probably the prednisone love that stuff. Most all pain is gone and I have an ear canal again! Gunna hit the sack early though.

I'm trying really hard to rest and not do anything with my right arm. Doesn't come naturally though. The fact I just can't get on with anything is driving me slowly nuts (DH says I'm already mental so he can't tell the difference - cheeky sod!)
How are things with you?

Oh I can't imagine not being able to do stuff for so long! A day not gardening or chickening is such a sad day!!!

I'm with your mom on the toilet paper, I start to panic if we have less than 3 rolls in the house and have to go buy more. Think it's a hangover from my dad's bulk buying and our lack of local shops when we were kids!

Why is it illegal to keep Canada geese over there? I've heard that before but never known why?

I'll do pics today The Canadian geese are illegal here and Canada I believe. Trying to protect them from people catching the wild birds for pet trade.

Oh I can only imagine!! I’ve had major surgery on my knee and some really bad sprained ankles that kept me laid up—but man, being without my right arm would just suck!! I would be sooo whiny

I’m doing alright! Enjoying my new bunch of chicks for my show chickens. Hatched them for the Easter HAL—so fun to have fluffy butts for Easter! Next round of eggs starts Friday for selling at the Expo!

That came out wonderful!

Eventful couple of days. Had a plumber scheduled for yesterday to unclog bathtub drain pipe and change out a leaky valve outside, the one that feeds the garden pipe that cracked during the cold spell, since the watercould not be shut off completely. They could not get here, so rescheduled for today. I was called this morning to help a friend with her grief after tragically losing her adult son on Easter. Meanwhile we have the plumber and the septic pumper coming. Hubby is at work this morning. Thankfully, both came after he came home from work, everything was completed. Also had a 55 degree sunny afternoon. Mason bees were flying. Peas and beets are up. 22 eggs from 2 days. Septic guy got a dozen eggs as tip.
Speaking of toilet paper, I hardly use it anymore, no paper panic. So funny when the roll runs out and the emergency holler is heard from DH or one of the boys. I used to be the one to keep it stocked in the bathroom, but haven't really paid much attention to that detail since getting a warm water bidet. Best.investment.ever. especially with one hand laid up. Always a nice, clean feeling. Wish I had one before the pause. Save the trees, get a bidet.

Your poor friend. I'm glad you were able to try to comfort them. I can't imagine lossing a child at any age.

We hit 99 yesterday! Last night was still delightfully cool though so we're not into full heat yet.
Still sipping coffee here and getting ready to go walking. I can hear the birds singing outside and soft little chirrups from the brooder. Wonderful start to the day

I know, I just sit and look at their cute little faces They are bantam Ameraucanas, d’Anvers, bantam Easter Eggers (Ameraucana/d’Anver crosses), Watermaals and a satin that is going to be frizzled I think. I’m going to be using them to add color to my d’Anvers and sell bantam Easter Eggers in unique colors. They are self-blues, cuckoo, and self-blue cuckoo. I’m super excited too, because Watermaals are close cousins to d’Anvers so they can be used to work with each other. Should be fun!

I had a hard time with my shoulder years back. Very painful and depressing. Took me awhile to get out of the rut but it did pass with work. Your in my good thoughts
