Was going to get pics of the oegb babies today but got sidetracked. Here's the new hatchery littles though. All are vigorous and feisty already but one. One of the hamburgs isn't eating yet so going to work with it tonight. The rest are so curious and extremely bold babies. I reach in and they zoom up to snatch the food. They're already taking spy jumps too to see what else there is to the world. Every now and then I'll hear a chick get upset, and when I check I see they're grabbing each other's toes trying to eat them They're tiny terrorists already! Definitely going to have to spend a lot of time just watching them...infinite entertainment . Had to cover them in a basket for a bit to get them to hold still for a pic. We headed up Koke'e to dismantle the trailer coop. This means I get to build another coop! Hehehehe, what to do, what to do?! This new one is going to have a good sized roof if it can and I am sure it can View attachment 3465624
The hydrangeas I started 1.5 years ago are looking good. Slow starter but they have mostly been on their ownView attachment 3465625everything is popping up and blooming. Smells lovely up there. Will be heading up a lot this week as I have maintenance work to do.

Got the bug zappers in the mail. Set one up in main coop. It sounds like a 4th of July firework extravaganza. I can smell their little carcass burning.
The dyna I moved over to the roo coop area thinking it maybe catching mostly moths and such. I opened to check the basket and was pleasantly surprised to see a big pile of dead mosquitos in the middle, then promptly dropped the catch View attachment 3465628View attachment 3465629
That is a lot of squitos. Took down all the tapes as they were filled already. Look much like the pile on the ground just full. Mosquitos are back out in force tonight. Lit a bunch of natural mosquito incense and may order 2 more zappers, depending what the trap looks like tomorrow. Insane

So many bugs! I've been wondering how well they work with flies?
Talking of insects, DH spotted a ground beetle crawling over our living room rug. He's a bit squeamish about bugs so i daren't tell him it's probably a mealworm that's escaped and pupated in the house

Sipping coffee in bed this morning . I'm out on the back porch in my mosquito net covered canopy bed with my little Tuck puppy. Roosters are crowing their hearts out all over. I can hear mine popping off and distant neighbor roosters answering. The wild birds are greeting the day and it sounds like we have at least one mourning dove cooing away.View attachment 3465868

Well come on here to share my big news but nothing can compare to a baby (@Gammas Bearded Babies)!!!!

One of my hens hatched 4 eggs so far. We are waiting on 2 more eggs. One I’m not so sure about.

Sorry I have been so absent. Things are just crazy right now. But I walk outside and I have this beautiful tree that just makes my day. I wish the flowers would stay all summer…

I'm developing a bit of a lump on my clavicle so I'm hoping that's a sign that the bone is knitting. Got a check-up and x-ray next week so fingers crossed! How's your hand?

I had a hard time with my shoulder years back. Very painful and depressing. Took me awhile to get out of the rut but it did pass with work. Your in my good thoughts

Thank you both! I'm still managing to chicken, nothing gets in the way of that - even if Elli tried to cripple me by standing on my clavicle while I was asleep!
Ice is a good shout. I can't believe I haven't thought of that! I've been using heat though, should have been alternating them.

Can I ask where/how you got your logo designed?

You bet! I found them on Etsy and I just loved the examples they had. I had already drawn something similar by hand, but if I hadn't they work with you to mock-up some ideas based on things you describe in their questionnaire they send you. You can search for Ambellica Designs in the sellers search on Etsy and you should be able to find them. They are very professional and entertained all my ideas and change requests. When you are happy with it, they get your email address and send you a link to all the files for download on your own computer. Not terribly expensive either.
