What did you do with your flock today?

O how I love that roof! Curious if you built it that way and if so how? Bet it's devinely cool on even the hottest days.

That little girls such a pretty one. Wish I could smell the jasmine too! ❤️
It is actually just an old shake roof, way before my time. Mother nature likes it 💚🌿 it certainly is fun.
The gardens are just starting to take shape after years of tinkering here and there.

Way better than what it was...

I moved 31 chicks from the "Chili" tribe, 5-weeks-old, from the 'Nursery Coop' into bigger digs at the 'Schoolhouse Coop.' It's an old converted camper trailer with more windows and vents, bigger taller roosting bars, and four times the space to play. :wee
That sounds like a fun coop 😃

I'd love a roof like that on something... anything.
Your garden looks good. Such pretty flowers! ❤️. Mines in serious need of cleaning right now. I want to put off cleaning it until I get the roof coat onto the new coops and runs and my beer can flowers hung. But life's full of distractions lately so I might end up garden cleaning first.

She said that she looses a lot of eggs because of how crazy it gets. She tries to separate them as best as she can but she has too many to separate them all. It kind of reminds me of how Silkies are described.
My dwarfs are nutty brooders too. They love to brood, steal eggs from each other and group nest. Think that's part of why I wanted the Hamburgs...kinda loving the thought of birds that just don't go broody. My Yokos don't go broody either and I love that about them. I have a handful of yoko chicks too now. Can't wait for them and the hamburgs to grow up ❤️

Got a visit from the sweet little girl and her tribe again today.
View attachment 3497165Then got a surprise visit from who i think is her mom and a new sibling ♡ gotta zoom in. Check out the fuzzy roof on that shack. Pretty sure it is still harboring eggs from our last summer hiatus and my renigade chickens. View attachment 3497166
Made it back down the mountain at 6pm. Good thing I did not stay the night cuz KCCP switched days and wants me to do the ride along to feed the cat colonies tomorrow morning @ 3am. 🤪

My flock looked fabulous when I came home. Lucky little buggers spent the whole day out and about. They gave me 20 beautiful eggs ♡
I have to leave them all day again tomorrow ☹️

Also Forest caught another fat mouse or small rat 🐀 this morning. Yesterday was a sparrow. Such a good hunter and sweet boy.

AND! The night blooming jasmine is going off! Smells divine♡ and reminds me why it is my favorite plant ever!View attachment 3497175
What a cool rooftop! Your feral visitor looks like she had mixed parentage, not pure?
Are you a morning person? Hope you get your coffee to go. How many cats do you think are in said colonies?
What a great hunter you have!
I can almost smell the Jasmine. Bet it scents the whole yard and wafts inside your hale as you sleep. One week before ✈
