They're a wonderful group. Overwhelmed with pigs that get dumped. There's so many animals sold as pets that people find hard to live with down the road. It's heartbreaking.I hope the piglet will be safe and healthy at the sanctuary!

Well, I spoke too soon. Baby Pakala decided to quit eating at 3 am. At first, though I was not thrilled about it, he had been eating pretty good prior and his latch was good so I thought, ok. Give him a break. But 4 hours later and he is going downhill fast. He is not reacting much to stimulation. Think he is giving up.Poor little baby! With the neck wounds...wonder if that wasn't momma that dropped it.
So glad the fellow saw it and you can care for itLucky baby.
Pakala's going to grow up to be a joy.

Maybe care took too long to get to him, maybe wounds and blood loss, maybe underlying condition... I am sad. I wanted to know this little one.
What is it?Well remember when I said we found evidence of raccoons in our yard? I was wrong…it’s not raccoons…
