Any idea what made the tracks? Racoons?

The most ridiculous part is that we live in a suburban neighborhood haha. I never thought I’d deal with so many predators living here…especially foxes!

Yeah, I’m guessing raccoon given the shape I’d take foxes any day over raccoons!

I built a little, muddy pond on the floor of the run to help my birds cool off this afternoon, but all they were interested in was scratching around in the wetted-down wood chips.

I looked an hour later and I couldn't even see that the pond ever existed. It was totally filled in with woodchips. And it was about a foot deep in one spot!

Call ducks are small…I bet you would have room for them . Geese are for sure bigger. They are a blast though.

I wish! Our back yard is minute, barely big enough for the chickens ☹

They're the cactus used for food. You can find them pickled in stores here and they sell the pads as well in some stores.

Love pickled cactus! You can get jars over here sometimes.
I do love pickles in general though and I'll try just about any pickled fruit or veg.

We're in an urban environment (pretty close to the town centre) and we get foxes, peregrine, sparrow hawks and owls!
