What did you do with your flock today?

I've seen ads for that type of feeder, but this is the first time I've heard of someone actually using it. How is it compared to your regular feeders?
They're so cute!
Oh I am just dying to gush about it. 😉 I did not buy it but would have no problem paying the big $$ for it knowing what I know now. I think it is worth it. A marvelously fun piece of engineering. Small learning curve for the chooks. I just tossed pinata scratch in for the roo and the rest followed. What surprises me is the littles have it down.
I think it may be the new preferred 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I hear it going off all day. No doves! That in itself is big.

Oh, awesome! How does it do with spilling? When It's closed do you think a rat or mouse could get in? The birds spill a lot of food here, and then no one will eat it off the ground.
Also, does it look like it would be possible for one of the chickens to get their head stuck?

No spills! Look at that clean ground 😮 not a single crumb.

My chickens learned pretty quick how to use it (me too) At first they were leary and there is def a learning curve. But if my chooks did not get hurt and even the babies use it, I don't think anyone can get seriously hurt.

I don't think a rat has enough weight to open and it can not pry. Once shut it is kind of locked. It's cool...

Thanks for letting me know! I’ll have to look into them more. My main concern was someone getting decapitated, so I’m glad you haven’t had any issues.
