What did you do with your flock today?

Yep... definitely on the same page there❤️

Hey! That's the same prices I'm using! Well...except I'm only doing hatchlings and sexed pairs. I looked and table ducks sell for about $20 for a frozen bird. So I decided $50 for a sexed pair let's me offer unpaired sexed birds for $20. Figured it helps ensure no one's looking for a cheap dinner. Anyways...I'm glad my pricing isn't crazy.
I'd be happy to just give you some if you were closer. Keep in mind the egg offer come spring if you want to try hatching though. I'll probably forget, but shoot me a pm in the spring to remind me if you're interested then.
Oh awesome!!! She isn’t offering single ducks. Unless you want just drakes. I guess someone contacted her about all of her extra drakes and she was excited that she wouldn’t have too many but I’m not sure what ever came of that. I think those prices are awesome! I would be the one at your door taking all of them 😂. I am really interested in hatching eggs! I haven’t don’t it yet so I will have to try to get an incubator before then. My husband has made comment of getting me one. I think he really wants to hatch eggs too! Eeekkkkk!!! I’m so excited! And I have so long to wait 😂

Well, I think we should honestly dub your husband as the cool one... and you should tell him so. 😄👍

Things are getting a little tight in here... 2 weeks old today. Gunna be a long 2 more weeks lol. I'm going to have to get creative and creat more space in this box.

Put the heating pad in and turned the light off for about one hour until I saw them all huddled on the mat and I'm like ... nah, lamp is better. Now they are back to being bandits. Much better. 73° on lanai, 69° in the run!

@Gammas Bearded Babies do you think your gal may be having a little reproductive hang up being she is close to POL? If you give her some calcium it could not hurt. I know it would be hard for you to give her an Epsom salt soak. Poor girl, she is beautiful and I hope she feels better soon
Yeah I was thinking that too...I'll have to get some oyster shells cuz it's been a while since I had any laying!
Is there anything else that would give her a calcium boost quicker?

Had BUSY day with grandkids last 2 days...then DH last night.
Missed yall!!!

I don’t know about quicker but I have read aside from oyster shells that egg shells are a good source too. Plain Greek yogurt might be a little faster. It took my chickens a lot of researching it to even try it, and then it was just gone in no time.

What a wonderful way to be busy! I tell my oldest I want grandkids someday and she hands me her dog!
I will happily share my 6 kids with you!

My youngest in school who is 5 got student of the week last week and then this week got a PE award. I’m like you all sure you got the right kid?? Your for real sure?!?! This kid lives up to her name! How is she so good for you all and not AT ALL at home?!? I demand prof! 🤣 :lau :gig

Oh.my gosh good morning 😂 you people are funny today! Must be the moon 🌛😉

Yes, @Gammas Bearded Babies I crush up a regular 600 mil people calcium pill and sprinkle 1/2 on a favorite food 2 x in a day. Some people get their chooks to swallow a whole 500 MG pill. I'm not there yet. Not sure which byc member it was who beautifull explained the difference in calcium, absorbency, it's benefits and the hens need. Super cool. Anywho to sum it up kinda- oyster is slow, people calcium is quicker and she will expell the excess safely. Do you think you could get some one to set you up with a little more than lukewarm tub of Epsom salt and water so you could give her a 20 minute soak? Give her a gentle under belly massage? Also, have you seen her poop? Keep an eye out for that. Sometimes egg blockage will block their poop and make them sick.

@FBMcrazy8 I like to give my DH credit where credit is due ♡. It seems to make him like me more. But I will keep an eye out for a big bubble head just in case 😂😂😂
