What did you do with your flock today?

Yesterday was decent, but today is cooler and rainy.
The ducks don’t mind the rain, the chicks will come out for treats.
I’ve been hatching chicks for the past few days, so yesterday, today, and tomorrow are sell days!

Beigie got hurt today, so I had to clean her up. It doesn't look serious now that I cleaned it off, but it looked terrible and a little scary before I did. She had blood from the middle of her comb down to almost the tip of her beak on one side. She was trying to lay when I checked her for blood (I noticed a little in the coop), and she looked fine until I got too close and she revealed her bloody face like some kind of cheesy movie villain, while screaming at me.

OKay I will follow may not say allot have tons of birds but they have job they work for me
otherwise they all come up when I go in I do not sit out there and only lift if I get rid of or sell
just raised that way still there at 60

I found an egg stash. Luckily it was only 3 eggs and one was warm so I know it’s very fresh!
here‘s the thing though, this chicken (her name is Special, the Easter Egger that lays the only green eggs in our flock.) has been hiding her eggs ever since she started to lay!
im being serious! she will try and do ANYTHING to not lay in the nesting boxes, and I’ve been finding her clutches in her different/new places forever.
I've gotten her to lay in the nesting boxes for a few weeks this spring but i know when she has moved on to her new place if I don’t see her eggs in there, so then I search...
they are like precious gems that she knows I love so she hides them from me
I blocked off her little passage way to her hidden nest so we will see what happens next, if she will give up and lay where she is supposed to or find a new place

It sounds like everyday is Easter with her. Hopefully she’ll start laying in the nests again.
