Thank you!!! We are hoping to be done this week. We shall see. Seems like when we have a time frame for it to be done, it doesn’t work out.

Today I hung out with Rosebud while drinking coffee and watching football. She’s a very calm and chill girl like Penny Pot, but even less sassy.

Then I took a short nap and went outside to get the empty coop cleaned out, refreshed, and set up for the inside babies. I decided to take the big dog kennel out to the backyard and put it on dirt. This way when the water spills it does not create warm, wet bedding for fly babies!! So I took one of the doors off, moved some pavers around, took off the door and installed an auto door, added hardware cloth to cover the door gap, and moved the babies outside. I’m hoping this will work! Will also be a good way to isolate birds for breeding in the spring! Looks a bit convoluted and ugly but it works! I’m very tired but feeling accomplished for my Sunday.

Thanks! It turned out better than I expected I hope it makes life easier now haha. I just checked on them and they are all snuggled together sleeping

Well, went back to bags. Finished up the 2 last ones for the restaurant and cut about a dozen for the hotel. Did take a break a few times to connect with the chooks and took some photos.

I really like the grey striped looking one, think it is a baby peaches. Hope it is a girl cuz I don't have enough birds

Hope jumped into the mini coop with 5 other hens and the grey & BR chicks tonight.
Spider and Beetle both roost in the main coop about 3 feet from each other surrounded by girls. Everything is calm.... but we have to wash down poop 3-5 times a day lol

On the super cool surprise side of my day. My Soursop tree has blooms and fruit!! The flowers are heart shaped. The fruit is awesome spikey looking and delicious. I cant wait to enjoy!

Oh wow! I've always wanted to try soursop, having read how good it is, but it's not something you can get in the U.K. We do grow figs, apples, plums, peaches, grapes, kiwis, jostaberries and lots of other soft fruit. I'm so envious of your space and your beautiful chickens.

Thanks! I do very much LOVE the doors…they might be the best thing I’ve bought since getting chickens! Not having to argue with the children every night and morning about helping close all the coops up! I just love that they put themselves to bed! It’s way easier than my own children

I just love the pictures of your flock! They are just so pretty!!! It is awesome that Spider and Beetle are still getting along!
