What did you do with your flock today?

I cut a rubbish can full of green panick grass for nesting materials and am drying on coop roof.
Did a few fecal floats to see where flock was at after worming. 👍👍
Went for a small walk, chicken duties and now back to sewing.
Weird question but how'd u know they had worms? N if too gross feel free to PM me lol

I'm in the tropics so I try not to have learned to not be remiss and de-worm my flock 2 times per year. I purchased a microscope so I could do fecal floats on all of our animals and that is a whole nuther ball of wax... or can of worms 🤣.
By the time you can visually tell if you have worms you may have an overload and it can effect their health. You can take a fresh poop sample to the vets and get them.tested for $25ish.

U know it's bad when u live in the south...aka TN and DH is all the way up in NH and we are gonna be 20° cooler in TN than he will be in NH!?! Insane weather!
I think I'm gonna just go insane too...it seems to be working for the rest of the world lol!?!
Wow! That’s crazy!!

Welp @Gammas Bearded Babies . We can't win them all. I'm sure your chooks did alright and had the option to shelter in the coop. They have it good lucky little buggahs.

I got the Humane Society! And sourced goat bags from a past customer and specialty horse feed bags from our vet. Trying to get a stand in their office too though may not work as they don't let folks in the office anymore. I'm going to try for 4 more stands and I think that will max me out. I am pretty burnt-out today though did manage to cut and sew and source art, bags, help etc.
Life is good. Staying away from the on purpose crazies helps things to stay OK.

Speaking of ... SIL came back from traveling and went to go visit 94yo mom when hubby was sick. Yep. You guessed it, covid. Unbelievable 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Yep. And BIL went into his work etc. Wonder how many people he infected today? Hope everyone fairs OK. Just don't understand that level of selfishness 😣
Yes, pretty cool about the bags and peoples willingness to be community minded. We won't be seeing any results for at least ten years with the cat population but there is no other option. It is all hands on deck. Meow!

Since the chooks are still being perfect and drama free, I'll share the photo I forgot to post of their yummy smelling grass drying out. (I'd totally lay an egg in that!)

And the makeshift arch of Clarodendrum from the garden into the run. Think my chickens get married under it. 😋
