What did you do with your flock today?

Speaking of loving our boys…Nohope had a rough day with the bantam roosters so I moved him to the big kid run and when I visited them all tonight he came running over and hid on me 😆

He’s so pretty and I keep waiting for him to start biting me or challenging me, but so far he just runs from me or runs to me depending on the situation 😆

I also got a picture of Fluff and his teenage ladies he babysits while finishing up his molt. :)

Oh man, I like Fluffs spot. Looks super comfortable and airy. Cute crowd too.

Nohope is STUNNING 😍

Totally diggin' being back on horse duty. Boys are great.
Cut another 50g barrel of grass and tossed on coop roof as I bagged the other dry stuff yesternoon.

This afternoon I went to our small feed store looking for.. anything and she once again had almost nothing chicken feed wise. That's OK. I've learned not to rely on them ☹ BUT she did have some buggy Piñata scratch that I like to buy, normally $30 but got it for $5 and took it straight down to the pasture for the boys who don't mind a little extra protein 🪲

This is a nice zoom in photo. After all of the rooster drama talk (and experience) it is really nice to see how seamlessly these boys function.

14 eggs today. Can't remember what my record is... more than 14 I'm sure.

Share looks like she is suffering again. Breaks my heart, she is such a great girl. We have had much longer with her than I expected. I was actually taking her good upswing for granted and even thought maybe I miss diagnosed her! But, I picked her up a few weeks ago and she was still swollen, just enjoying the upswing. I may have to drain her, I'll see how she does... draining is a risky and temporary fix so, I don't know. I don't want her to suffer.
All else is perfect, touch wood.

That is just so funny! 😂 Nohope is just so pretty!

I’m honestly kind of jealous of you and @TropicalBabies and all your guys’ awesome roosters. I’m hopeful one day my boy will be like your guys’. Or maybe one of his offspring…

Just beautiful over there! Sounds like you had a pretty busy day. I’m sorry about Share!

It has been raining ALL day. We got the netting up last night and finished it with the help of truck lights. So today after I got home this morning I let them out of the duck house. They loved it but I am REALLY happy that we have the net up because one of the girls likes to fly, and did try to fly out. One of the boys is a little reserved. He didn’t want to come out of the house and when the other ducks where in the pond, he is just setting on the outside of it just watching them play.
