I just wanted to let you all know how much I enjoy your posts and responses to everyone. I am learning so much. I don't respond a lot because I don't know anything really and because sometimes my brain won't let me, but I am learning all about feather babies from you all.

Don't burst my bubble. You are the closest thing I will probably ever get to a chicken vet and so sweet when clearly dulling out the sound advice. I thank you for your efforts!

K. Gotta share. So, I told you guys about my awful mosquito problem right? And b4 that having a fly problem.... well I ordered fly strip for the heck of it (cheap and not plastic) but they did not work as I needed for the flies. Last eve I put out 4 strips in hopes I could catch a few mosquitos and well...

How blinking insane is THAT! And they have 2 sides. So, needless to say I just ordered 3 more packs of 10 (hope that is enough) and will put out the last 5 I have on hand today. Poor chickens

@kurby22 is your coop getting its first test the next few days? How's the weather? @PopoMyers ? Don't think this front came via the pineapple express? Not sure if this last Kona low will spin off in your direction. That was a wet one for us. I loved every second of it. We have greened up beautifully. Unfortunately.... They are back and relentless. I re started a water garden with fish and put out a bunch of sticky traps last eve that the girls got to scream at @ bed time.

Got 17 beautiful eggs yesterday.
Got 2 stands refilled and new temp stand filled and delivered in time for the town celebration. Still behind on 2 big stands but may go check out the rodeo for a bit.
Need to deliver Cisco to his new people this weekend so bath and gear prep for Saturday. It is a big thing loading and delivering a big animal some distance to a new remote local and it always make me a bit edgy. Not looking forward to any of it for any reason. Silver lining is new people are thrilled and seeing cool happy people is a highlight. I will miss Cisco a lot. He is a wonderful horse and I hope he has a wonderful life.

It'll be so hard to say goodbye but at least you know Cisco is going to good people

That is absolutely gross! And an insane amount of mosquitoes...
No way I could use those in my run though, mine would just get tangled on them

Yep, waaaay gross. And yeah, I had to be careful where I placed them but today I have a better idea where to put the next round. Oh, and they did get screamed at at first light too. That is always lovely. The pre-dawn alarm

I thought our mosquito problem was bad during monsoons but that's something else!
