Well, I just added to the craziness here. Along with all the rain, Iris, and babysitting the neighbors giant German Shepard, one of my other neighbors gave us an early Christmas present. Two chicks.
These were the same neighbors that gave us the SGs and Polish chicks last year. I was hoping it wouldn’t become a regular thing, yet here we are.
There’s Sonny, a golden comet, and Cher, a black australorp. I’m now up to an even 20 chickens.

I spent the morning frantically running around trying to get them set up somewhere while they slept in my pockets. Now Sonny keeps pecking Cher until I take her out, so she can just sleep in my hands. They learn fast. XD

Beautiful babies @FrankieDoodle ! I think I would love-ish a neighbor like that too. It is kind of your fault for being nice instead of naughty Cuz then it would have been rocks and coal... or maybe cookies.

Planning a simple early dinner of AJ's favorite shrimp scampi for tomorrow. May skewer some w/ pineapple for DH. Just letting that roll around in my head, well that and cleaning my floors that is.
Flock is good with 2 roos out and I hope it holds. I think I see a little picking and choosing of sides. Little BeBe seems to be the big disrupter of things. Yes, little cockerel has a name now.
If alpha roo lets sub roo have a few girls this whole thing can work. He does not like them all anyways. I have 10 new pullets making the scene, or maturing anywhere from 1-3or 4 more months. That is 20 ++ girls and should be enough for 2... even 3 he he BeBe!

My quail just got some left over bird seed from the tiels as a Christmas present. OMG.. you'd think they never saw food before, LOL! They were fighting for space and everything!
