What did you do with your flock today?

@TropicalBabies wow! Sounds like your plate runneth over. Sorry it's such an overwhelming time for you right now. Hopefully things will settle down soon...including your naughty boys.

I'm so sorry to hear about your customer's loss. That's just awful!! ☹
Always fun to vent to the people who know me best and understand the most lol best listeners ever! ♡♡♡:lau

Waiting on @nchls school to hopefully come back and share more about the pretty awesome and unusual coop. May have to go snoop around if not. Curious.

My Tennessee poverty coop? Built a few years ago after a huge storm blew the other away. At a time when finances were strained past the limit. The coop was made from odds and ends and some stuff off the garbage heap; Things that were laying around the yard, and in the garage/greenhouse.

Pretty fricken cool. How does it work for you and them? Does it stay warm and cool? Is it waterproof?
I mean if you think about it, it is rather brilliant and resourceful. I'm impressed.

So took new photos in the coop today have my white girl

Bravo @PJ way to show off the flock ♡♡♡ and their digs.

So, as the egg turns...
I opened up the boys coop and let them roam the garden today. Nice and drama free and I just loved it. I cleaned the fridge and tossed yums over the railing as the flock expects.
Come evening time I wanted to get some updated photos of Beebe. He really is a terrific beauty. Possibly the sweetest boy ever but may take another month to know forsure.
So, showing off my cute baby boys.

The coop is the bottom of a tree house; the roof being the tree house floor, which is now gone (tree house). Built around a big pine, the coop leaks around the trunk when rains are heavy, otherwise the coop is dry and fairly cool in the summer. The south side is screen covered in plastic sheeting during the winter. When the sun shines the door has to stand open so it does not get too warm; even on the coldest days. There's a drop down screen curtain to keep the serama inside and safe. The roof is now covered with a flower garden and the sides have ivy and honey suckle. growing on them. The tree trunk makes it harder to catch birds. Beyond that it works well.

Favorelles? Beautiful birds!

Favorelles? Beautiful birds!
Actually, Dark Brahma x Ameraucana, dad- Dark Brahma and 2 dorks are Buff Brahma. A very sweet breed that I am partial to.
When the pandemic hit and being on a small remote and sometimes forgotten island, I thought I should breed and sell cheap to help out my neighbors. Cleaning up my lines, going with my breed of choice because even during a pandemic w/ troubled mail people frowned at barnyard mixes lol

The same here. I about have to give away mixes with the poultry. Even crossing colors of the same breed gets lifted noses. My Phoenix are beautiful birds, but because they are a cross of red and white... My best selling are tiny serama bantams. As pets.
