What did you do with your flock today?

@Gammas Bearded Babies How is your pain level today? Recovery pain better than just chronic pain with only good moments? You are in the solution, hang tight ♡♡♡ hope you have angel helpers. 😇
Pain from surgery hasn't been a problem at all...bandages sweated off today lol.
My brain hasn't done well doing nothing! It felt good to rip out the cucumbers finally!!!

@kurby is going to have to put her kids in therapy or move to a bigger property 😉😉😉😉 poor kids ♡♡♡♡

The pollen in tomatoes dries out too. I can oversummer tomato plants with work but won't get fruit only troubles.
Humidity plays a big factor too.

Yeah, lounge chairs ☑ cool drink check ☑ good book ☑☑ cubes or food will get you frisked and rousted out of your chair and my little thief Hombre will probably then rob you of your drink & book too... heck, he'd probably end up in your lap. Just kind of a big hungry dog ♡♡♡
Hombre sounds delightful ❤️. ChooChi used to steal hubby's beer and stuff her nose in pockets, and LittleMan loved to come up behind you and burry his snout in the back of your neck and chuff. He'd steal anything he could too just to lip it a bit in case it's fun or yummy. 🤣 Poor Jazzy has always been a little nervous of people... especially men. So she tends to talk at me to ask for attention, and she scratches your back while you pet her...but she's never had any playful traits. Affectionate...but not playful.

I'm so glad you got to rip out the cucumbers! I bet it did feel good! Sitting times definitely best when it's a choice instead of a need.
Thank you! 😍 I’m excited to have some of my own sweet chickens and happy that two of them are Sia babies. She’s both a gorgeous Silkie and just the sweetest little bird ❤️ Wish one of them was Cher’s too 😢

I’m feeling very conflicted over Spider. Aria is really mad at me too :-( She asked me why I had to rehome an “innocent” rooster. In other words one that hasn’t pecked at her or us. 🥺 He’s big and beautiful and if I had room for a rooster flock I’d keep him…but I still have 12 roosters 😩 So some have to go. I was hoping I could keep Nohope the Orpington as my other LF rooster…but I’m not sure how he’s going to handle his hormones. He’s very skittish but willing to go after things he finds scary. So we will see I guess!

The temperatures start climbing today through next week…and it’s going to be miserable 😩 We bought bags of ice, will use the ACs, the misters and some very cold watermelon. I hope all of them make it 😢

Poor Aria! Sounds like she loves them all ❤️. Your daughter sounds like such a sweetheart. Maybe the new babies will help.

Well, I just finally came in. I spent the day getting the porch and courtyard ready for labor day. Mostly that meant trying to remove all the spiderwebs and moving things around to clean behind and under.
I trimmed the grape Vines because they were blocking light from my tomatoes. Tomatoes here are like @TropicalBabies experience...but I keep trying anyhow. I keep thinking someday I'll find the right type that'll like it here! 🙄🤣
Anyway, I treated the chickens to some of the vines, and when I got to the young yokos, Schultz tried to jump on me and fell. So I gave him a look over and hes definitely sick. Not bad yet...but off balance and a messy bottom. I brought him in and gave him some medicine in his water, washed his bottom and set him up with some high calorie feed and a dish of kefir for the probiotics. He has such a huge personality ands just so fun. I know it can't be Mereks cause he was vaccinated for that and no pox signs. But we have found a few dead sparrows so I do think bird flu is circulating out there. Anyways...fingers crossed for him.
Exhausted here...hope everyone's night is good.

Don't over do it young lady!! Don't go backwards ♡ try and stay patient, it will come, breathe, you are almost there.
Have you tried audio books? Maybe that will help you to stay still while you heal. ♡

Hombre is a pick pocket too. He is very social and lots of fun.
I'll drum up some UH tomatoe seed to send you way soon. I wanted to send some B of P seeds for fun. Give me a bid... I am rather scatter and or unprepared.
Well, they can still get Mereks w/ vacs, just less chance I think. But, crap. Yes BF... oh gosh. :fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl I really hope not. Maybe one of those ill tempered snakes bit his toe 😡
How is snake hunting going?
Well, you must be having a thing for the long weekend. Bet everything looks lovely ♡ have fun!

Oh no! Poor Schulz! I hope he’s just feeling off and not bad sick 🥺 my friends flock was vaxxed too and they all now have Mareks AND Avian Leukosis 😢 so it is possible but hopefully very unlikely! I get to stress out now about my flock randomly getting Avian influenza too…there’ve been several cases in the Valley in the past 3 weeks 🥺 Try b complex vitamins! They really helped Axel ❤️

Yes, Aria has such a gentle heart and despite all my efforts she continues to attach herself to the boys. Sighhh. Why they gotta be so sweet until puberty?? She took selfies with him today to remember him by…and then went to therapy tonight and talked about chickens nonstop apparently  hoping Ariana Sushi is a girl, but given my luck thus far she will be a he! 🥴
