I'm so glad Beetle and Spider are doing well togetherGood morning gang and happy Aloha Saturday... it is Saturday right?been insanely busy. I need to clean and reorganize everything and have barely finished unloading my truck when DH made an appointment for AJs dog on the otherside of island and I gotta do the running. There went almost a whole day...
On the amazing side... flock reintergration has been surprisingly smooth. I seem to have the dreamy and drama free 2 roo flock (at the moment- holding breath...). They have sectioned off beautifully, Beetle having more and younger girls, Spider with the light B's and matriarch's. Last night most all went to sleep in the main coop- peacefully. I think... this may work out with the boys. 2 girls did have had a few throw downs but nothing too big, just surprising. I think I have 45 birds at the moment (with chicks)... maybe the boys are happy to see each other...View attachment 3277301View attachment 3277305

Also have another order of chicks so fired up the bator AGAIN.
For my daily cool off DH and I have been going for rides in the late noon/early eves. What a good God send. Just loving Boo big time! Yesterday was the gnarly Waimea side canyon road. More intense hills and corners than the Kekaha side but I made it up perfect fine. Thank goodness we went down the Kekaha way...View attachment 3277323
I'm sure I'll find some free time here and there. I'd miss you lovely ladies if I didn't...lol.Will you still check in on BYC when on vacation? Can you share some of your adventure with us? ♡♡♡
It sounds magical ♡ I am sure all will be well. You have such a close and capable network- I envy you in the best and happiest of ways ♡ what a wonderful neighbor you are.Everythings quiet this morning. We got rain yesterday and Schultz managed to get wet somehow, so I brought him onto the porch to sleep overnight. He's finally starting to get grumpy with me for picking him up so much lately...he used to run up to me, jump on me and let me pet him. Now he runs up to me but isn't jumping on me and isn't always letting me pet him. He'll probably relax after a month or so of normal life again.
I've gotten such a kick out of his greetings and will miss them if he doesn't.
Today and tomorrow are all outdoor time. The neighbors coming to get a walk through and I'll top off everything, pick some green beans, peppers and stuff and lots of treats and attention for all the beasties this weekend. I enjoy that as much as they do, so it's going to be a lovely weekend![]()
