What did you do with your flock today?

I just got my first egg from one of The Noodles, Squirrel. It’s a tiny blue one. I’m so happy and proud of her. <33

She’s on the left. This is the first egg I’ve gotten in a few weeks, and yesterday I had to actually buy eggs. Poor guys are going through a pretty hard molt. : (
I just lub your girls noodles :love
The blonde looks like my Princess Grace. Squirrel just looks silly and she should be forgiven her hiatus.

Photos of the mauling?
I can get them in a bit, or in the morning :p

Here’s this for now:

Well, this morning is a nice reprieve with only 4 crowing boys. Much better.

I will head to Lihue town early to drop the stand and bags with KHS, fill DH's truck with gas, pick up feed & wood along with my small shopping list.

Share is in her last moments. I have her in the brooder on the lawn so she can enjoy safely. I have some favorite foods and water for her but she is done with eating and drinking. Her comb color is fading and has a touch more blue. My husband wants to cull but I just don't have the heart. I want her to go peacefully, kindly with dignity and no fear. 🙏🤍👼

Welp. Time to get moving.

Oh yum! Dark Brahma's :love nice nice bird. Congratulations 😁 photos?!

Yeah, I'm kinda with you on the lap bird. I rarely sit long enough for a cuddle if I do a cat finds me first. I basically get swarmed, not cuddled. With food, I get mobbed.

Bad rooster! I have never had a bad one yet but yesterday while transferring my last pasture roo to the coop he bit me on my hand. I was actually really proud of him for protecting himself so I put my hand out again to see if he would bite it and he did. Lol
They are almost done with growing new feathers. Will try to get pics in their new outfits. Got them in the middle of molting, so still a bit ragged. Oh, hopefully he doesn't progress to being mean.

I just let a sweet hen pass peacefully a couple weeks ago. She had liver failure, probably from reproductive issues.
