Well both of my Leghorns laid a good egg today…maybe it is just a matter of working things out.I’m just glad that Lilo and Stitch are ok!

That's a great idea! I add a tiny bit of lavender to my Epsom salt baths to help calm the girls.Yeah, I’ve been moving things gently and massaging the upper knee area…I can feel her using the muscles up top but not at the ankle yet. I’m sure it takes time for everything to rebuild and function again. Might give her an Epsom soak too!
He's such a handsome boy! So pleased he's settling in with minimal fuss.I took off early this morning on Boo with a loaded duffel bag of food for the young men staying at the cabin. Guess they did not bring up food and thought they would be fine lol. Oh to be young.
I was greeted by a cold face as the electric went out again and there is no fireplace. Told him the stove works great and handed him a few bags of food
The ride down was amazing. Everything is so fresh and crystal clear after the rains.
Got boards scraped and waters bleached and scrubbed. New guy is cruising just fine, trying to find his place in my full flock. Last night everyone went to their assigned places.
I do need to cut a new feed bag to staple on a door and 1 side of mini coop. Old ones have had it after 1-2 years lol.View attachment 3336388

That's my dh too, to be honest I have to agree that space is running short...lol.I daren't go to auctions. I'd be bankrupt by the time I came home and DH would moan about where we're going to put all the 'crap' I'd bought.![]()
O he's a doll!Little Stanley is 12 weeks old today and nearly as big as his mom. He's going to be a total snugglebug like his dad. I really hope he and Ferdy continue to get on as I haven't the space to separate them and I don't want to have to re-home him. I took some pictures of him earlier, not great as he wouldn't keep still..
I've never had any luck with the ultrasonic things. If you find a brand that works for you, please share!Only the humane traps that they completely ignore right now. We’ve also got the rat poison traps they also ignore. Sighhhh. I don’t want to kill any of them and I hate using poison…sooo I bought some ultrasonic sound makers my mom suggested that worked for my brother in laws neighbors (they all ended up at his house!) I also need to fill their holes under the coop they created.
Why they gotta be so relentless, I think they’re so cute when NOT HERE.

Isn't it? I guess I said "Goat. I wanna goat" a few times when I was sleeping. She’s adorable! A goat is such a strange gift though, lol.
He’s so cute!
I'm not sure how my kids ended up like they have, but God I love them.Oh my goodness! What a lively little thread! Mini goats, cute cockerels, beautiful coops, humane rats... ok. Draw the line on dropping off ratsunless it is at someone's house I don't like.
So much going on on this thread, don't know that I am going to catch it all.
Congrats of the goat @chicks. Your daughters are so beautiful inside and out. Wish my kids were wonderful like that. Seems my daughter can bother with me to send grandkids wish lists, other than thatBoys are worse. Even stepkid's girlfriend manage to only give me 15 minutes, 1 thank you hug and a forwarded recipe for cheesecake. Good trade my cute pink scooter, so I guess we are even
. Maybe I should humanley trap some rats lol
or just mind my own...
@Shetland, your cockerel has THE cutest face!!
Yeah, @fbm, I'd like to get our crap under control before being tempted with an auction. I'm like @kurby, my x-mas list is industrial shelving (and a work bench I will buy myself) sure my younger self would be like wtf happened to you/me! What we really need is to get rid of all those animals and get a kayak!
@Frankie, you are doing a terrific job. I hope you solve the mystery soon ♡♡♡
Yay!Well both of my Leghorns laid a good egg today…maybe it is just a matter of working things out.I’m just glad that Lilo and Stitch are ok!

It's a good time of year for cozy indoor time! It makes me happy to know I'm not the only one who still likes Christmas cardsWell, the snowing changed to heavy rain at 5 pm, with wind! So glad no more snow until the weather decides to change again. We sure have bipolar weather systems here, keeps the weather guessers guessing! Did not even go out to check eggs today, but they are being naturally refrigerated at 34 degrees tonight. Bad weather makes for good inside projects, like writing Christmas cards and letter. All ready to mail.
So impressed that you are getting to your x-mas cards already. I have not even thought about carving out time for that yet.
