View attachment 3354487We have wild weather as we are still dealing with the remnants of a dynamic coldfront. Glad I filled all feeders pre storm, also really glad they have proven to be weather proof. Flock is running at 100% again- hope this weather does not bring anyone down.
Got another call yesterday for a boy chicken! So if 1st call follows through that will be 2 LB boys well homed.

Much as I love Santa I need to mind my flock dynamics. Also, the 2 pullets I have been growing out will be ready to leave soon too. The plan will be to hold onto them @ least for a few more days to make sure I send perfectly healthy birds and then if weather holds, as we have another front headed our way, I will do some handoffs.
For the last 3 days the surf has lost its crash and taken on more the constant sound of a distant jet engine lol. I am truly enjoying this weather. The chooks don't seem to mind much either except for being locked in the coop at night. Very unusual for us but want the wind protection as it is blustery. Did not tarp or add plastic this time and we did well. May rethink later...

Seems the trees and sunblock have really helped to slow big breezes.
