What did you do with your flock today?

I took the best pictures I could. I marked them good and bad as to which foot.

Dang it...more snow!!!
Babies must have slept in...I didn't hear any crowing til 6am! I was beginning to get concerned.
I worry if I don't hear mine before 6.30am. I usually convince myself something terrible has happened to the boys and yet I'm perversely relieved they haven't crowed earlier in case my neighbours complain... 🤣

Is there heat in addition to the swelling? I can't really see any significant redness in the photos but definitely some pink on the sole of his foot. It looks a little like the pinkness on Ferdy's feet at the moment -, almost like an area where pressure has been applied. I'm just monitoring Ferdy as there's no sign of any break in the skin and there's no heat. I think the wound on top of the foot is of more concern at the moment with your boy. Think I'd just keep on with the foot soaks twice a day, clean thoroughly with saline solution, allow to air dry then apply a small amount of neosporin or similar ointment and bandage as for bumblefoot, as PopoMyers suggested.

There isn’t any heat luckily. Just very swollen and hard I guess would be the word. A little squishing but not much. I guess just normal swelling but I think it might be irritated more than anything. The one spot is my biggest concern because it isn’t hot (anywhere) and it is open.

It doesn't look like bumble foot on the bottom...but maybe it is between toes?
I'm sorry I wish I could be more help!
I’m kinda thinking that might be the location of frostbite….but again I don’t know. I don’t see black but MAYBE I caught it before it got to be too bad 🤷‍♀️ Or maybe it has yet to get worse…

I definitely saw black on the tips of Cocos comb on the first day of this blizzard and then it has diminished to nothing.
So I'm not sure at this point.
Did you try posting on the emergency thread section to get some better advice?
They've always been very helpful in health problems for my babies.
Is he eating and drinking and pooping like normal?

Yeah I worried bout the cochins and d'uccles combs and then forgot to make a salve of coconut oil and cannabis to put on em before this hit!
I had asked the question to Myers hatchery on their YouTube bout winter prep if cbc salve would work instead of cannabis oil cuz I never got to get any. But I have cbc I could mix with coconut oil if that would do same thing!
I pray all your animals come through ok and that yall can celebrate this special Christmas together as a family inspite of all that's goin on!

@Shetland lover those.are the most beautiful kitties I've ever seen!!!
DH and i LUV tigers! He has one tat on his chest of one and I have one on my shoulder of one looking through a clawed area!

It was 0°F with a wind chill of -23°F on the 22nd & that night it was -4.9°F in the coop all night. It was colder than that by a degree or 2 outside the coop without the wind chill. 3 of my 11 ladies spent the day under the deck & we had bales of straw up for wind block around the deck. 1 of those 3 must-have gotten her wattles in the waterer tray & now has frostbite. I've done research & tomorrow I'm going to put CBD salve on her frost bitten wattles tomorrow. Tomorrow is our 1st day above freezing since the 21st!
