What did you do with your flock today?

You could also. bathe her in it, that alone can help by relaxing muscles. The magnesium in epsom salt is wnat causes the laxative effect. To administer orally, I'd start by mixing 1 tsp in a cup and a half of warm water. You can up this by a tsp each time, up to 3tsp if it hasn't worked after a few hours. Molasses also has a high amount of magnesium and can be mixed with water at a rate of 1tsp per 2 cups of water. You could try fractionated coconut oil, olive or vegetable oil too. Pysillium husk can be used to increase fibre intake on a short term basis.
Thank you! I also think I'm going to give her meloxicam orally, along with some coconut oil, appesauce and Epsom salt water. You have a wealth of knowledge, for which I'm grateful. A cup and a half of water? How much should I expect her to drink at a time? I don't have any experience with tubing.

Great information...I had no idea epsom salt or molasses was high in magnesium ❤️.
Just wanted to add to be careful with psyllium husk as it can cause constipation if too much is given, especially if there's inadequate water intake.

Oh yall....down with all thr babies this morning. We are going to hit over 80° today.
Checking everybody over that decided to sit in my lap and realize someone else has shell-less eggs and it got smashed all over their porch and Cathy is cover in it.
Thought it was Lizzy again but nope...she decided to not only lay while I was down there but also go broody!
Chatty looked a little pale...but acting her normal self. With the porcelain d'uccles they tend to look paler anyway so hard to tell. But gave Cathy a calcium pill in case it is her.
Confiscated Lizzy's egg and check camera she's done back in the nest brooding.
Should I give her my 10 eggs and see how it goes?! Or nah
They all started panting yesterday and it wasn't as hot as it is going to get today.
No wonder everyone and everything is sick - insane weather days now everywhere it seems!

You're wanting those chicks, aren't you? Temptation is hounding you. Having a broody makes it that much harder to resist, huh? Seems like you are strong, though.

It’s a glorious day here in the Holler! And the girls were out enjoying the sunshine with me until the red shouldered hawks showed up to nest! Damnit! The girls don’t recognize the RS scream like they do the other hawks and the two kinds of eagles we have in the woods, so they don’t rush in when the RS hawks show up. The don’t mind the Cooper’s hawks or the sharp-shinned hawks either. I’m not overly worried about the small hawks but the RS and red tails concern me. The bald and golden eagles too. (When they scream, the girls run for cover!!) Oh well, Mother Nature rules the roost out here I guess. Maybe it’s time to enlarge the covered run…

Beautiful babies. I sure would not want anything to get a single one of those beauties. Terrific flock. Yep, more net sounds like a great idea! ♡

Well I think this is the first time in a long time our weather isn’t matching. It’s cold here today 😭😭. It’s going to be windy and a high of 41 and tomorrow is going to be only 33. The highest I’m gonna see this week is 55.

Just let her have the 10 eggs lady! 🤣 You know you want some babies. Just let her get it out of her system and yours 🤣 :lau :gig

I know, I’m not helping anything but….

Watching my eggs on lockdown like something is going to magically happen in front of me. I think these little guys know how much I want them to hatch. They just setting in there telepathically telling each other not to move a muscle. My eyes play tricks too that i see them moving. These ones will be spoiled rotten (not like the rest aren’t) but I’m just hoping that since they made it this far after the horrible accident that they can get through a hatch.

The other set of 15 Cemani eggs can in this morning and are waiting to go in tomorrow. I’m going to throw in my French Black Maran eggs in with those because the 2 Cemani boys I have REALLY like her. So I’m hoping to see a beautiful ALL black feather footed babies. I don’t know really that it would work but it sounds good in my head.
