What did you do with your flock today?

Leaving for my walk soon. Looking forward to seeing my old friend, we skipped last week because of the crazy high winds. We've walked in cold, rain and snow this year...no problem. But the winds this year are another story! 🥴

Going to stop at the feed store on the way home to pick up horse, goat and chicken treats ❤️. I'll dump them in their storage buckets and box up the bags.

Thank you guys! I really think though she is dying. 😭😭😭😭 She made it through the night but this morning I got up to check on her and she was laying down. She has been there for about an hour and a half. She is breathing, she is putting her head up but that is about it. Can anyone help me with why she hatched without the yolk being fully absorbed? Or even why they came out sticky? I tried to keep the humidity between 65-70%. I kept it at 65% at first knowing when they hatched it would go up.

Just saw this after my long reply. Does sound like gleet. Any cream containing Micronazole, Fluconazole or Clotrimazole should work well. The micronazole you have will be fine. Here's what I'd do:

Apply Canesten cream around the vent area and just inside the entrance to the vent after an Epsom salt bath. Let her soak a good 10 mins at least.
Add Apple Cider vinegar to her drinking water and provide a probiotic daily (exactly as you're doing)
Repeat the bath every 48 hours and re-apply the cream.
Keep applying the Prep H every other day.

How long has she been on the meloxicam?
About a week. Do you think she still needs it?

Well, your eggs traveled by mail and then got dumped. There is a good chance the egg just got jumbled or maybe she was just not meant for this world yet. Hard to say but your bator sounds like it and you did a good job. 80% hatch rate is considered a success under the best of circumstances. Anything better is a bonus.
Your humidity was right IMO

The walk sounds so delicious ♡♡♡ I have gotten out of the habit and I feel it. Need to lock Forest up and get back after it. Between him following me and being behind on sewing plus the rains... I have more excuses... like early morning coffee, lap kitties and this nice throw I have on my lap now. Makes it hard to do the right thing.

Big Mahalo for the bags @ChicksnMore ! ♡♡♡

I will take a pictures of her. She just does not look good. I can’t bring myself to cull her. I don’t want her in pain or miserable but I also want to give her a fighting chance. I want to handle her and put more antibiotics on it but I’m afraid that handling her will make it worse.

I hope you get all that feed done before this next storm today hit's. I'm supposed to get heavy rain here this afternoon, but snow will be happing in the mountain parts of AZ. The people that like to ski will love that.

I have already made sure the feed bucket and water container's are full for the flock outside. The chick's are in the house in their brooder, so not much worry about them as I'm able to keep an eye on them. The adults can just hang out in the coop if they want to.

I'm so sorry for your little one. I can't be much practical help either as I've never hatched in an incubator. Pru has always done the work for me.
I'm certain some of our experienced friends will be able to provide answers. I do know omphalitis needs careful handling and 72 hours of antibiotic treatment is recommended. Survivors are often smaller, weaker with poor immunity to disease.
