That's exactly it! Wish I could work out what it means...Yep, that's the other crazy sound. Like holding the neck of a deflating balloon. Not sure if Houdini has a happy noise.

I can't believe how much the littles have grown! They are so pretty with bags of attitude ❤The littles forgave me for the motorcycle ride after a bug search last eve. We are once again bestiesView attachment 3599892
Brought 5 hens down this morning who were not thrilled about being shoved into cat carriers and then the back of my truck, but I think they can be bribed also.

Kind of boring down here with only 10 chickens locked in a run...
Im waiting on the washer to finish, then I will hang duvet cover and head back up to the mountain.
House looks and smells good...even the bathroom this time.
I think we sometimes make them more high maintenance than they need to be because we love them so much and are very attentive to their wants and needs. I know keepers who spend only 10 minutes a day with their flocks. If I ever get to that stage, I'll stop keeping chickens. We were all new at sometime, lol. I had chickens when I was a kid... but don't remember them being so high maintenance back then. Now they are practically a full time job... or therapy session. Yes, the latter ♡
I hear ya. Like a day without sunshine ♡I think we sometimes make them more high maintenance than they need to be because we love them so much and are very attentive to their wants and needs. Beautiful breakfast!
Godiva sounds awesome ♡.Only collected uniform large and maybe 3-4 extra large today. The most exciting part of my day has been while taking a rest break Ms Godiva was a few feet away and went into a crouch and I timed it just right to catch her like a softball as she was about to land on me. We had a nice talk and I gave her some feed out of my hand to make her feel as special as she is. She had the naked neck for so long after being mauled by a predator. She is 6 months old next Monday. Being a White Giant I don't expect her to lay for another couple to 3 weeks. Her male brothers and cousins are going to be huge and are still growing. They are getting 27% gamebird chow it shows. (>Lustrous feathers and bright combs and wattles. Due to the neck skin injury I'll never let her run with any roosters but may AI her for fertile eggs with my Handome Easter Egger Shuster. He is so gentle and easy to handle. He got his lunch fed out of my had while setting on my lap today. I'm thinking about a new coop for Shuster and 8-10 RIR girls. Those chicks should be winners.
