My roo that has been ailing is so much better today. His eyes look brighter and he's going to get warm scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Me too, but I recently made some glazed carrots and that was pretty good. I have to make carrots and peas once in a while because DH likes them. Me, not so much.I hate cooked carrots. Love 'em raw though!
With your attentive care he will grow up to be a handsome, healthy fella. Go, Biscotti!Biscotti's such a scraggly chick! I tentatively think Biscotti's a little roo. If he was human, he'd have a diagnosis of some sort! But...he's doing well and getting stronger everyday. He moves like the world's tinest drunk sailor. He gets cold so easy because he's under feathered...no dense fluffiness to him. He's going to be the sweetest bird though and I'm hoping he grows up strong and well feathered. Now that he's out of that poor mail abused egg things can only get better right

She sounds promising! Kinda like teenagers...a little attitude off and on is a promise to move out someday because the spirit is willing. That's actually a good thingStarting week 8 tomorrow. Olena continues to have more attitude, and now voices her displeasure along with more fighting and struggling when she does not want to go back into her sling/box. She has stopped eating her vitamins on her own, along with that, more resistance as I put it in her beak. Eats quite a bit, so lots of poo. Man, I can smell tell when she does. Have had to turn my exhaust fan and open a window to air out.She tried to stand up again, got on her feet, pushed and fell backwards. Her gyroscope isn't quite back, yet.
Stronger every day. If she is not fully healed and back with the flock by February, I'll be looking for a chicken nurse for the 12 days we are on vacay. I have a friend in mind.
Merry Christmas @PopoMyers !Great to catch up on all your stories. It'll be busy for the next few days, I imagine, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy holidays to all of you.
That's great news! Fingers crossed he continues to improve. Bet he enjoyed those scrambled eggsMy roo that has been ailing is so much better today. His eyes look brighter and he's going to get warm scrambled eggs for breakfast.
My DH too. I cook them for our Sunday roast for him. I do them parcelled in foil or baking parchment with honey, butter and thyme, salt and pepper with a grating of nutmeg. That's how he likes them best and I can tolerate them enough to eat a couple if I feel like itMe too, but I recently made some glazed carrots and that was pretty good.
