The hanger I have is just a long spike that goes through the middle of it and has a chain fastened to the top to hang it from. Would be easy to make.I tried giving them a head of cabbage a long time ago and they didn't care for it, but it looks like they've been pecking on the leaves a little.
I was thinking about making a feeder out of 1"x1" or 1"x2" galvanized rabbit cage wire and pack it full of cabbage leaves. That would make it easier for them to rip off chunks of cabbage.
