What did you do with your flock today?

Update: those eggs hatched. So now I have my original flock, six chicks from tractor supply that are living with the 2 rural king survivors, and nine barn mixes that I hatched myself! I said I would toss the frozen eggs, but they stopped sweating and the humidity normalize, so I added three normal eggs for a total of six normal eggs and three that were frozen overnight due to being under the porch. I am only doing those nine this time, as it is the first hatch project from my birds (last hatch was my first in two years, the eggs were a gift from my aunt). I also hope to do a quail hatch soon!

Had some tomatoes going bad and a bunch of apple cores for the beasties.

Beautiful weather here! I have lots of weeds and little veggie sprouts everywhere ♥️

Yowza on the feral babies! Any idea how your going to handle it when they're grown and determined to keep calling you home base?
They normally move off and thin but yeah, going to have to trap and relocate. Been putting it off for awhile.

Hello! This is a place to post pictures/talk about what you and your flock have done today.

I was on a zoom call earlier and Iris, my rooster, decided to stand behind me and crow repeatedly. Thankfully I was on mute, but it was still annoying. They couldn’t see him, but they could see me trying to make him quiet, which was a little embarrassing.
Here’s a pic of my boy with some mini roses.

It was a very rainy cold day today in Pennsylvania so my chickens could not go out, so I made them some nice warm oatmeal.

Mine got a taste of cracked corn to spoil them a little more. Temp was in the low 80's and that is to hot for more than a taste. We normally only give cracked corn when the temps are in the low 40's and lower and then not to much. We also use about 3 slices of sandwich bread divided between 15 or so roosters underfoot begging like they haven't been fed in a month. They usually meet us in the morning and come begging as the sun starts to lower. They have us trained well.
