@kurby22 the dwarfs are doing great except for Biscotti. Biscotti's never been sick a day in her life...yet at the same time, she's never truly been healthy. She seems to struggle with regulating her temperature. In the summer she was visibly struggling with the heat in way our other birds don't. Wings out, panting etc. But she got by and stayed ok between deep shade and wading bowls. Then fall came, and for a while she was happy and vigorous. Then winter and she fluffs ands so obviously cold that I ended up bringing her onto the porch and giving her a heat lamp. No signs of illness at all...just extreme reactions to temperature changes. Her she is enjoying her heat lamp in an old parrot cage.

Its a big cage...but not a good life. I'm uncertain what else to do though. She needs a temp controlled greenhouse type coop i think.

The other greenfire dwarfs are gorgeous, vigorous birds. The lavender has the feather shredder gene though. Beautiful color, but look at that tail!

None of the Greenfire birds have laid yet...and I've yet to see a roo even try to mount a girl. O but they are pretty!

And Char's dwarfs (my long time dwarfs) are doing wonderful! Every now and then they throw an unusual baby. I'd so love to know what genes made this boy...i see blue..but what made that red breast???? I've no ideas at all . He's the only bird like him that's hatched though.
. He's the only bird like him that's hatched though.

All the rest of the birds all look like pages from the same book. Lots of good blues ....and the rest look like the Greenfire birds.

Im keeping the Greenfire birds separate from Char's birds and just enjoying the two flocks.
I'd love to do some trading in spring! I got my Isabel oegb over the summer too. They're an f2 generation, so early breeding still...but pure oegb. I'll have to get some pictures of them and share the fun personalities I'm seeing in them. I think you'll love them

It looks like a nice big coop. Anyway you could set up a little heated area for Biscotti? Before I had electric in my coop, I ran two 100' outdoor extension cords out there, with a water proof connection, to be able to supply heat to keep water from freezing and heat for chicks when I raised them out there. It worked fine. Happy to have the electric now, but it was a temporary fix. Just a thought.
