We also got our first real Christmas tree and I got a few new room decorations as well. Honestly though, I don't really mind not having presents. To me (not forcing it on anyone), it is Jesus's birthday. I love meeting my church family and celebrating His birthday together. All in all, the best gift has already been given. This is my belief and lifestyle, of course, not everyone has to believe that.

Just wanted to add, because of covid, a lot of the older church folks (that used to be regulars) have not been showing up. This is mainly the grandmas and grandpas. I was really happy to see them yesterday. Count it as a Christmas Eve special!

It's generally the same people. I, too, try to avoid them. 'Debby Downers' are just that. They desire to pull others down to their level. Glad that you are having a great day.

Pushing others down and bragging yourself up just in hopes for a little attention.
