Blueberry oatmeal pancakes

DH made grit bowls....grits, bacon pieces, scrambled egg, shredded cheese. That's one of those "stick to your ribs" kind of breakfasts

Today we had the usual - eggs and toast. The girls are laying better, so we have lots of fresh eggs coming in.

Maybe I need to tell my birds about your birds. For the past couple of weeks I've been getting 5, then 0, then 5, over and over. With 9 girls getting either 5 or none on alternating days is goofy. I know the reasons, but somewhere, some day, egg number 6 is coming. I can almost feel it!

Your girls are doing better than ours, because we get anywhere from 2-4 a day. You can bet that every egg is precious in this house!

Since there are just the two of us, I only make 1/2 a batch and that usually leaves a couple pancakes for the chickens (minus the syrup on theirs).
