What did you name your chicks ?

Currently I have:

Mushrooms:
Morel, Hedgehog, Button (Hedgehog is now named Nugget)

Edible Plants:
Daikon, Okra and Sorrel

Herbs:
Rosemary, Parsley, Dill, Fennel, and Sage
I thought you were talking about food not chicken names 😂. I guess that's why alcohol and reading doesn't work. LOL

The 6 chicks I kept from my first hatch are called Snowball, Bluebell chick, Sugar, Bessie, Spunky and Walter. I kept Walter as he as a deformity after getting stuck in his egg. When Snowball hatched she was meant to be sex linked but she was white so I thought she was gonna be a boy so I named her Snowball, after a few days she changed from white to orange and now she's a huge red hen. Anyway this is Snowby then and now :wee

I have one older girl named Frankie who is three years old. I named her after my late mother. She is the sole survivor of my last flock. I also have four six week old chicks who are named Margot, Maude, Millie & Malia. Right now I take the little Ms out to the chicken yard for an hour or two every day. I can’t let anyone free range in the chicken yard because of predators. The hawks live in Florida every fall and winter. I hope to integrate Frankie and the little Ms in December.

I am loving everyone’s chickens names!
Our OG flock is as follows:
Mrs Doubtfire (Aka Mrs D) -
Bertha
Apricot
Magpie
Martha
Goose (previous owner named her HeiHei, I changed it cause I wasn’t a huge fan lol)
Henny Penny (named by previous owner)
Ms Wonky
Lovey
Creamy Elvis (or just Elvis. She’s a cream legbar.)

Our chicks - there’s 12. (Currently. Eggs to hatch).
We’ve got Moony and Q-Tip but no names for anyone else! I’m thinking I might head to my fav show for some names 🤭

Oh look at her! I love this ahha

I used to name them in groups with themes. So one year I got two Ameraucana pullets snd they were Florence and Weezy (from the Jeffersons); then I had ladies of country music—EmmyLou, Dolly, Maybelle and Wanda—and then I got two Speckled Sussex and named them after the Duchess of Sussex (Duchess and Sparkles). Then I got two NN Turkens, Trigger and Nutsy. My kid picked out two Delawares I couldn’t tell apart so they were Click and Clack.

My current flock mostly doesn’t have names except the rooster and then I call some of them names based on their appearance (like Fatty and Swoopy) and my favorite hen is called Little Brown Hen. I have clearly given up 🤣
