What did your chickens do today?

I was out in my yard today and noticed one of my light brahmas chicks (almost 2 months old) has a fatty skin patch lol under her chin. It's not wattle skin. But it's a reddish color. I have a pic but can't figure out how to post them with my iPhone. She was sexed but I think she may be a roo.

When the person tells you that they chickens they are giving you are "wild/feral chickens who can fly really high" you need to believe them. In trying to move the two newly aquired chickens to a coop they proceeded to fly up to the 6 foot fence, and then to a 15 foot window sill, and then finally to the top of the neighbor's 30 foot roof! We are in AZ and it was hot! Luckily the chicken realized this and flew down into the open garage where we finally caught her! They weren't kidding when they said they could fly high. Maybe we need to see about clipping those wings! LOL

WOW!

Mine spent quite a while chowing down on cicadas! So many around right now! They are going to be so sad once they are gone.

I have been waiting for these to show up in central PA, so far nothing but a few holes around the ground in the yard. I HATE flying bugs so the thought of having these everywhere terrified me, I know I am stupid

but after seeing videos on youtube of the last time they showed up I was ready to not leave the house till they left LOL

Glad your chickens are enjoying them!!!

Ok my five laying hens produced six eggs today. Unless one of my 12 week olds layed one. LOL Anyway I did not think that this was possible. Any professional suggestions would be appreciated. I thought it was really weird one of them was at least twice the size of the rest.

all I can say is my roo is no Casanova with the girls...lol and the girls have made little nests in their nesting boxes.. But are not laying.... Oh and the holes in the back yard recently, omg you could play an 18 hole golf in my backyard :)

This is how I find my son and rooster
