What did your chickens do today?

And an hour before that he tried to attack the plumber

Hmm just got a visit from police dept. about a skunk. Informed us since we were in city limits (last street out nothing but pasture behind s in ar town pop of less than 100) that we could not let our chickens out for their supervised free range anymore we had been letting them out every evening while I mess with the garden. He was real nice about it was trying to help me keep from getting complaints. I'm so sad. We have no Roos and keep coop real clean and smelling good. Right down to putting mint leaves on the floor! Cop was going to find out the next town hall meeting for me to go and state my case. But as of right now he hasn't had any complaints so he will ignore that he even seen them. I told him we had letter from all out immediant newborn saying it was ok with them and that when coop was originally built two of the three neighbor even helped. Hopefully he can help us out. All seems good to me but we have 1 couple that are close but not neighbor that are reall mosey and constantly complaining about every one! And the husband is on the volunteer fire dept, a county jailer, and local auctioneer, the wife is neighboring town FFA teacher!! I hope all comes out good

I'm so sorry about your bad news. I'm very glad that the officer was willing to go above and beyond to help you out. I can say that living in a more rural area, in or out of the city limits helps a lot. The smaller town police officers seem so much nicer. I lived in Carrollton, Georgia, a college town of about 24,500 people, back to Graham (pop. 211) and the size of the cities makes such a difference in the demeanor of the public service workers. Hopefully he will be able to get you some good news soon. Good luck!
