What did your chickens do today?

LibRat and John, would either of you know why my rooster would be trying to mount one of my 10-week-old BA? I didn't think they gained that kind of interest in a pullet until she's older. You both have been so very helpful before, so I thought maybe you would know what I should do.
Im still learning myself... I'm sorry I can't help with that one :(

Pig n Lucy r still mad at me. I left their windows wide open last night and we had heavy rain and winds this morning and it blew in so they were both dripping wet by the time I got in there to shut the window.

I have just started letting everybody run the entire backyard during the day. As nerve wracking as it is for me, they LOVE it. I went out yesterday evening to round everybody up and was missing 3 of my 10 Buff Orp girls. After rummaging through the brush at the back of the yard I finally spotted them perched in the fig tree. I wish I could have gotten to my camera quick enough. They were so cute sitting up there like big girls. Even my oldest chicks don't get up there.

My post is more of a what my chicken s HAVE NOT DONE!!! They have yet to figure out their chicken nipple water-er. I was so excited to get that done and in so they would have clean water at all times.....and they silly girls will not even look up to be curious about the thing!!!

My chickens would probably hate those. They LIKE to kick bedding into the water. Maybe they just like the flavor better. I dont know but it is annoying!

I already had one rooster that knew he could crow, but today one of my white silkies learned he could crow today too! so it was funny becuase they crowed back and forth for like an hour this morning!

I put their trough waterer on bricks...cuts down on the bedding in the water mess. But drinking from the nipples would be SOOOO much better!! I am thinking is I completely remove all other waterers they will HAVE to get it.....but dont want them to overheat....dang chickens!!!

I have my waterers up on high platforms too! I dont even know how they get the chips in the water! You might have an idea there about removing the old waterers. Then keep an eye on them. :D
