what do baby ducks eat, help!

i gave my ducklings the all-purpose stuff, non medicated. i love my ducks so much i don't even care that i have to change their water 400 times a day. mine have been free ranging and on no commercial feed for about four months and they are huge, happy and healthy. one poster was right about them not being very friendly like a chicken could be but i've heard of people that hand fed their ducklings all the time and when they were big they continued to come to them. be sure and post pics when you get them.

take good care of my babies purr!! i will be there sometime after 4 to get them. how did they do overnight?

Curiosity, and being a first time ducky parent, prompt me to ask "Will they mate OUTSIDE water too?"

Drakes will want to mate everywhere!

The water is easier for them both, though.

The whole time I had ducks, they wouldn't go into the water. I gave them a kiddie pool type thing, with concrete "steps" and everything, but they wouldn't go in. They'd just stand outside and slurp whatever greens I would drop in there. They never wanted regular duck food as adults. Just as mentioned before, "floating salad."
