okay it is day 18..i took automatic turner out, placed 4 small wet sponges in incubator and closed the top....i also candled the 42 eggs, 5 were infertile...saw some movement...(not in all of them) only good air pockets and large dark areas, most of my eggs are dark brown...so i think i have done everything i know to do...now all i have to do is keep sponges wet and wait....right am i forgettting anything.....

this is silly i know, but i have read in some of the posts were you hear peeping from the egg, do you hear that before it starts to pip...if so that is so amazing....

You'll hear peeping when the chicks internally pip- into the big air sac. After that- won't be long and they'll be pipping, zipping, and bouncing around the incubator. It really is such a cool thing to witness.

Yep - sometimes you hear peeping before the egg pips. It's really cool.

It's been said a thousand times before - the best thing you can do now is walk away from the bator and don't even think about opening it.
