What do I do with a baby pigeon?

Hi everyone! I need some advice! Last Sunday night (about four days ago) I found a baby pigeon sitting in my barn. I went and looked for a nest but since my barn is so tall, I couldn't find one! I was going out of town so I put it in a horse stall near where the other adult pigeons hang out in the barn and left it there but I told my friend to go over there and check on it. It looks pretty developed and he/she has lots of feathers. Yesterday when I got back from out of town it was still in the stall and I gave it some wild bird seed and a pan of water. I was wondering if I should leave it there or bring it home with me so I can take care of it? If I did leave it in the barn, are the parents still attempting to take care of him or do you think they forgot about him? And if I brought him home to take care of him, would I be able to let him go into my barn once he gets old enough or would I have to keep him? I don't mind having a pigeon but I feel he would be happier in the wild. Also what should I be feeding him? Thanks! If pictures are needed I can get them later today when I go out to the barn.

I think you are doing the right thing putting seed and water down next to it in the barn.

I think the parents are still feeding it, because, after 4 days it would have died without food and water from the parents.

Young pigeons often leave the nest before they can fly. They spend time on the ground, hiding. and the parents come and feed it 2 X a day.

I would leave it there as you are doing, just make sure it up high out of reach from dogs or getting stepped on.

ya i concer, raise it up to a safe spot,, and leave some seed an water for it... it should grow and fly up to the rafters shortly,,
