Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I've been awake since 3:15. I tried valiantly to fall back asleep but to no avail. So I got up at 4:00, stripped the bed and started laundry with my bedding. Then scrubbed my bathroom counters and sinks clean, fed the dogs, took care of the chickens and was out the door to go to Walmart by the time they opened at 6:00. I picked up some groceries, came home and brewed a pot.

Maybe I got insomnia because I ate so much garbage at the birthday party I went to yesterday. Or maybe it was because I had a little bit to drink. Not a lot, just a little, but enough to get a minor buzz. Which I danced off on the dance floor. I went with a friend of mine, N. She followed me to a mid point and we left my car in a parking lot about 3 miles from M's house. I've been buying her dog food off of her as I can fit it into my freezer so I thought I'd swing by after the party to get the last of it.

While we were sitting listening to the band I asked N if she planned to stay until 8:00 when the party was supposed to end. She said, "No, not that long maybe another hour or 2. How long do you plan on staying?"

"Well gee I guess as long as you are, you brought me here remember!!? Give me that drink! You've had enough."

Dancing, you had a lovely evening out with your friend.
I can not remember the last time I dance in a public place anywhere, might be in my 30 which is in my last life.

Having my tall jumble cup of tea now. In just about 5 minutes I am off to do my chicken business in the dark as the sun has yet rise. It is now 5:45am Monday morning over here.

Edit to add yesterday I saw my flock jumping on each other like a rooster behaviour, they did it to one another. I just completely lost at this, did I feed them the wrong food? Is the sun too bright? something in the water? I must get a rooster! I have had enough of this rooster behaviour.

Finally getting HOT here. Utah, we never know when it will hit. Will be 101 on Thursday. I'm spoiled with a nice working air conditioner.

Heat and humidity start to build tomorrow. Hope-hope-hoping for rain on Wednesday. A week ago, they were forecasting 70% chance of rain last Wednesday, and it split up, fizzled, and missed us.

For this week, they're including some possibilities of severe weather, so maybe rain will actually happen. And if it does, I really hope it's Wednesday afternoon. We have stuff going on Wednesday morning and all day Thursday.

I'm so desperate for rain that I won't get too bent out of shape if it rains on one of our parades.

We have friends coming over on Thursday. This mess is a house. So much cleaning to do. I've been spending most of my time with garden things. Now that it's supposed to get hot an humid, I'll use that as incentive to get cleaning done.
