So i have 5 chickens laying on eggs they all swap nests now and again 3baby chicks have hatched no problem they all get along.Ive since had 2 new hachlings they killed one and are pecking at the others head what do i do can i take them from there mothers straight away?

Yes you can take them from their mothers and put them in a brooder with a heat source if their lives are in danger. Chickens can be frustrating sometimes.

Please remove the remaining before the hens kill it. Brooder with warmth, food & water, a snuggly stuffed animal unless you can get at least two chicks close to it's age for company.

If they are dry, fluffy and ready to walk, then I would take them and their mother off of nest and put them in a different pen/coop. Could you take a picture of the hens in the nest and post it here? That may help us know the situation a little better.

Hello. Being you had multiple Hens setting the first Chicks they all think they are Momma to those. The new Chicks are not wanted. Remove the new hatchlings to the Brooder and leave the others in with the Hens.

How many broodies do you have setting eggs?
Do you know when they are all due to hatch?
Separate the broody birds and their eggs or remove chicks.
Sounds like a real mess!
