I have a young baby that has a long piece of dried grass? stuck in its mouth.

Do I try to pull it out?

Ok, time for an update. That might have been the longest piece of tough weed that I've ever seen. I wasn't able to remove all of it.
It's very hard to describe what exactly was in there.
It was a very tough/dried piece of grass/weed. It was like a long skinny piece that every so often branched off ~ sort of had these tough clumps.

He's the cutest little bantam cochin, and he seems to be doing ok.

I know a lot of it is still in his crop. Do you think I should do anything else?

might not hurt to get some oil into him..olive or just vegetable..soak a teeny piece of bread in oil..or drops on beak..then massage the crop..

a little yogurt might help..plain..active culture.

did he peck the weed?
or was it pulled/cut?
