What do I feed my freerange chickens in the winter?

Generally the dangers of apple seeds is greatly overstated. Yes, they have cyanide but you'd have to eat a rather absurd amount for it to start to be an issue. Even less of a worry with chickens because unless they only have apple seeds available they're not going to willingly eat an amount that's going to be harmful. Besides, very few people have enough apple seeds lying around to where that'd be a danger to begin with. I wouldn't intentionally feed apple seeds but I also wouldn't go out of my way to remove the seeds from the apples either
